It is the first firewall shown to be able to withstand a DDoS attack and still deliver high data throughput. To ensure low host CPU utilization, the card completely offloads session traffic: the Corrent® CR7120 Security Processor handles all IPSec encryption for VPN, while an IBM NP4GS3 network processor handles all processing for Firewall connections.
